Yup, it looks like practising ^^.
The comets look like spaceships (at least to me).
The BG needs variation (some nebulae ?) and the stars seem a bit unsharp.
The supernova is good, but the brushes you used are a little bit unsharp.
I don't like the planets shadows.

may I ask how I could improve the planet shadows so that you would like them?
ou yeah dont know what you mean "brushes you used" because there isnt any brushes used, only the bery basic soft brush =D
and variation, how can I improve that? =] thanks for tips though I will try to do better next time, thanks lee

Ok, for the shadows look up that tutorial: [link] . It would take me ages to explain it xD.

Bout your very soft brush: it kinda lacks sharpness. You can improve sharpness by duplicating your brushed layer, sharpen it a bit and set it on overlay.

Variation, ummm.......take a brush (or a texture that you can brush) with a colour that matches your starfield and set the opacity to 20%. Now brush little by little over your starfield layer, it will give it a nice touch.

Hope that's useful for you =).

No, you draw your shadow inwards your planet, while he draws it outwards and erases the rest xD.
